The protocol was signed between the Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) and the National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation in the field of maritime affairs. The signing ceremony took place on February 10, 2025, during the “AMAN Dialogue 2025” event held in Karachi, Pakistan.
Within the framework of this cooperation protocol, joint research projects will be conducted in areas such as maritime law, maritime security, the blue economy, and marine environmental protection. Additionally, academic events will be organized, and expert exchange programs will be implemented.
This protocol is expected to enhance scientific and academic collaboration between Türkiye and Pakistan, contributing to joint projects in the maritime field. As a significant step toward the development of regional maritime policies, this cooperation will further advance the strategic partnership between the two countries.
