DEHUKAM has been awarded a grant of €206,130.00 for one year as a vocational education provider under the Erasmus+ KA121 VET call by the Turkish National Agency. DEHUKAM will continue its efforts in this field until 2027 and will keep receiving grants annually under the accreditation.

As part of the accreditation, DEHUKAM will provide internships and on-the-job training abroad for students and teachers from the vocational education high schools it partners with. Additionally, DEHUKAM will coordinate the establishment of the European Maritime Education Network and will work on increasing the scope and effectiveness of the implementation of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) in Türkiye.
