The 81st Session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC81) of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) was held between 18-22 March 2024. At the MEPC81, important decisions were adopted on issues such as greenhouse gas emissions, carbon fee, fuel saving and ballast water, which are important for the maritime sector.
