International Symposium on the 1999 Montreal Convention on the Twentieth Anniversary of its Entry into Force was held on November 4-5th, 2023, at Litai TBB Hotel, Ankara in collaboration between DEHUKAM and Ankara Bar Association Aviation and Space Law Committee, Union of Turkish Bar Associations and HUZTAM.

Distinguished speakers from various countries who are experts in their fields delivered presentations in which they shared their research and experience on the aviation and space law. The Symposium provided a platform for the exchange of important and up-to-date information in the field. The topics covered during the Symposium included the scope of carrier’s liability for delay in air transportation, comparisons between the Montreal Convention and the Warsaw Convention and the carrier’s liability for delay and accidents in air transportation, among other crucial subjects.
