Within the framework of DEHUKAM’s ongoing project with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, a meeting was convened in Hatay with the participation of distinguished delagetes His Excellency Mr. Prof. Mehmet Emin Birpınar, PhD, Deputy Minister and President of the Barcelona Convention; Her Excellency Ms. Tatjana Hema, Coordinator of the UN Environment Programme – Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP); Nazan Özyürek, Head of the Ministry’s Coastal and Marine Management Department, CEO of DEHUKAM Mr. Mustafa Başkara, LLM, and DEHUKAM researchers Büşra Deniz and Derya Ulutürk.
The meeting proved fruitful as discussions centered on the progress of the Climate Change Regional Activity Center, which is intended to be integrated into the UN system under DEHUKAM.
